Revenue and expense accounts are not showing on Account Trial Balance

Description of Issue

  • When running Account Trial Balance, expense and revenue accounts do not show on the report.

  • Account Inquiry shows accounts with activity that are not showing on Account Trial Balance report.

  • When running Account Trial Balance for a specific project, no results show.



Context

Account Trial Balance



Cause

The report option (B)alance sheet or (A)ll accounts is set to B, which only brings in balance sheet accounts.  Project codes are typically not included on balance sheet accounts.



Resolution

  • To run Account Trial Balance for revenue and expense accounts, change the report option (B)alance sheet or (A)ll accounts from B to A.

  • Once the report option is updated, re-run the report.
