How to define hours worked on pay codes to count towards FLSA OT

Description of Issue

How can I make it so only certain pay codes count towards FLSA OT for actual hours worked and make sure others are not included?

Cause


Resolution
  1. Go to Pay Master (Payroll>Payroll Setup>Pay Master)
  2. Search for the pay code(s) that should and should not count towards actual hours worked towards FLSA OT. 
  3. Note the FLSA/OT field. 
    1. If this is set to Y-FLSA the hours worked for that pay code will count towards FLSA OT .
    2. If this is set to N-NOT FLSA the hours worked for that pay code will not count towards FLSA OT.

Note: This setting is used when the employee is linked to an Overtime Table.
