NYSLRS - Employment Instance equals NEW

There isn’t a Munis Job Class code in Employee Job/Salary that crosswalks to the NYSLRS Job Code on the NYSLRS Employment Instance record for this employee.
Review SLRS JOB Crosswalk Type in State Reporting Codes Crosswalks to make sure the Munis Job Class code is mapped to the correct NYSLRS Job Code.
Review NYSLRS Employment Instance record for this employee in the Employee ID Codes program to make sure NYSLRS Job Code is correct.
The Employment Instance is the ID for the Job being reported to NYSLRS. This value is provided by NYSLRS after the first submission for each employee.
The Generate will set this equal to the Employment Instance ID value in Employee ID Codes program for Employee Code ID Type NYSLRS Employment Instance if the following conditions are met:
- The NYSLRS Job Code is mapped to a Munis Job Class code in the SLRS JOB Crosswalk
- The employee has an Employee Job/Salary record with the Crosswalked Munis Job Class code.
If there is no NYSLRS Employment Instance record for this employee, or if there isn’t a Munis Job Class in Employee Job/Salary that crosswalks to the NYSLRS Job Code on the NYSLRS Employment Instance record, this field will be “NEW”.
