Unable to process Activate Assets transaction - due to missing GL accounts

Receiving an error when trying to process an Activate Assets transaction even though the accounts are added to the record

• Capital Asset: XXXX is missing one or more required GL Accounts.

Capital Assets

Accounts were entered into the Purchasing Accounts instead of GL Accounts

1. Within New Assets, search for the needed asset

2. Click Update

3. Navigate to Financials > Accounts and scroll down to the GL Accounts section

4. Add the needed account lines

   • The typically needed accounts are:

     • Asset

     • Contra

     • Depreciation Expense (only needed if the asset is set to depreciate)

     • Accumulated Depreciation (only needed if the asset is set to depreciate)

     • CIP (only needed if the asset is a CIP)

     • CIP Offset (only needed if the asset is a CIP)

5. Click Accept
