What happens to scheduled jobs during an upgrade?

Cause

Site is upgrading to a higher version of MUNIS and is wondering what happens to the current schedule jobs. 



Resolution

Typically during an upgrade anything in MUNIS is brought over and available in the newer versions of MUNIS. This should include the scheduled jobs however there are some things to keep in mind. 


  1. if there are changes to functionality like new fields etc. those fields typically come over as either NULL or set to on. 

  2. Certain jobs have to be reset yearly: Example: Roll Accounting period is required to be rescheduled every year.

  3. Typically, MUNIS is loaded into a clients Test database prior to going live with the newer version. This provides the client access to review and test certain processes to verify everything is working as expected and helps to confirm what changes there have been with the functionality.
