How can I check the ExecuTime server log for errors

Resolution
  1. Connect to ET App Server. 

    1. This can be found on the Site Report for hosted clients or get connected with the site's IT person.

  2. Open the File Explorer.

    1. This could be a Folder icon in the bottom toolbar next to the Start button.

  3. Click on the the physical hard drives to locate the ExecuTime Installation folder. 

    1. For more information on the drives, see below in the additional information.  

    2. The ExecuTime Prod Folder may be in either location.

  4. Find and double click the ExecuTime Production folder (ET_Prod). 

    1. Folder might be called something different site to site.

  5. Double click the ExecuTime AS-10 folder.

  6. Click WildFly folder then Standalone folder.

  7. Find and double click Log folder.

  8. Find the file named server.log and right click to open in Notepad. (In higher versions of ExecuTime it's called application.log)  

    1. Prior days server files are also stored in this location. If you need a prior days log file locate it in the list, and use the right-click Open With command to view it in Notepad or Notepad++.



Additional Information

Additional Hard Drive information: 

  • A and B are reserved for floppy disk drives.

  • C is the first available letter and is it is usually where the OS is installed.

  • D-Z are assigned based upon when the hardware comes on line.

  • D is usually a CD/DVD drive, but if its a machine without a CD/DVD drive then the second hard drive 'volume' will be labeled D.

  • If a CD/DVD drive is added after, it will get a letter E.
