Additional Information

Journals created from Abatement Entry will have the TXC journal source type. These journals should debit an account using the following hierarchical model and will credit the Accounts Receivable account on the charge code.

  1. If populated, the account showing on the Exemption Code used as the abatement reason code will take priority.

  2. If the account on the Exemption Code is left blank, the type of the reason code will be used to determine the charge code account that will be used. If the reason type is Abatement, the Charge Code's Abatement account will be utilized. If the type is Exemption, the Charge Code's Exemption account will be used instead.
