Change Status of a Lien to Foreclosed



Description of Issue

A lien is being foreclosed on and the status needs to be changed to foreclosed. 



Context
  • Property Tax Billing 

  • Liens

  • Redemption/Foreclosure Update (tlforeup)



Cause

A lien needs to change status to foreclosed because of failure to make payment or legal action. 



Resolution
  1. Navigate to the Redemption/Foreclosure Update program either by searching or using the following path: Property Revenues > Property Tax Billing > Region > State > Lien Processing/Reports > Lien Processing > Redemption/Foreclosure Update

  2. Choose Change the status for a single parcel.

  3. Click Define. 

  4. Enter the Lien Year, Lien Number, and Parcel

  5. Click Foreclosed in the Change status to dropdown menu. 

  6. Choose Foreclosed from the Change Status To dropdown menu.

  7. Enter the Foreclosure Date if desired. 

  8. Enter the Foreclosure Book/Page if desired. 

  9. Click Accept

  10. Click Post

  11. A message displays: Post Complete. 

  12. Click OK.
