How to mass update employee deduction limit





Description of Issue

How can I mass update the employee limit in employee deductions for my retirement deduction? They will all be receiving the same limit.

How to update the new FICA limits for all employees.

Cause



Resolution
  1. Access Employee Deductions: Payroll > Employee Maintenance > Employee Deductions

  2. Search for the deduction code and verify the current employee limit is the same for all records

  3. Click Mass Update, click Define and select Employee Limit from the Change drop-down

  4. The current limit will be displayed in the first Limit box, define the new limit in the Limit box to the right

  5. Click Accept, click Execute

  6. Do steps 3-5 for the Employer Limit option if needed. 



Additional Information

The Mass Update function is not a proof-post process. Important to verify all records in the active find set are eligible for the update.
