Description of Issue

Receiving the following error when attempting to export a data set from the Purchase Order Inquiry program to excel: spoffice_officeExport: Error generating data file on server when exporting

Cause

This is a defect corrected under MUN-448849 and clones beginning with version 2021.5.0.

A description field (usually the description on an item) contains a special character, typically carried over from copying a description from another place online.



Resolution

Upgrade to a Generally Available quarterly release of Enterprise ERP.

Contact Purchasing support team to correct this issue.



Additional Information

To make sure this doesn't happen again, have users key these descriptions manually instead of copying descriptions from outside sources
