Difference between attached mappings and associated mappings

Description of Issue

Looking to understand the difference between the attachment and associated documents/mappings in the document mappings screen in Munis

Context
  • Munis

  • Tyler Content Manager

  • TCM

  • Munis-to-TCM Mappings

Cause

Resolution

Attached Mappings:

  • Displayed in the Attachments panel of Document Mapping screen

  • Displayed where previous Generic Attachments would be stored (NOTE: This continually changes as sites move toward storing all attachments through TCM. Munis Development will replace all Generic attachment capability in all programs that can be translated in Munis)

  • Total count of all mappings in this panel are displayed on the paperclip via the ribbon

  • Mappings provided by Munis can be disabled but cannot otherwise be modified

  • Custom mappings can be created with the assistance of Support

Associated Mappings:

  • Displayed in the Associated panel of Document Mapping screen

  • Most mappings are supporting documents (anything that relates/applies to the Munis screen itself)

  • Mappings provided by Munis can be disabled but cannot otherwise be modified

  • Users with the correct permissions and create and modify custom mappings

  • Total count of all mappings in this panel are not reflected on the paperclip via the ribbon, unlike the Attached mappings
