What does the adjust for rounding setting do on the Deduction and Benefit Master?

Cause



Resolution

The Adjust for Rounding Setting on the Deduction and Benefit Master record performs the following calculation to determine withholding amounts:

(Year to date gross + deduction gross in payroll) multiplied by the withholding percentage, then subtracts the year to date withholding amount. The year to date values are pulled from the yearly Employee Accumulator records.



Additional Information

It is recommended to have the Adjust for Rounding checkbox checked on deduction 1000 FICA and 1100 Medicare.
