Unrecoverable Error when depreciating assets - Due to zero values in Capital Asset Settings Last depreciation fields



Description of Issue
  • Receive an Unrecoverable Error when depreciating assets 

  • Depreciation thru year must be between 1900 and 2100



Context

Capital Assets 



Cause

Defect occurs when Last yearly and/or monthly depreciation values get set to 0



Resolution

Install the appropriate Tyler Deploy release for your version:

  • 2021.11.0.1885 - MUN-499434

  • 2021.12.0.1688 - MUN-499435

  • 2024.1.0.1424 - MUN-466810

  • 2024.2.0.969 - MUN-499436

  • 2024.3.0.567 - MUN-499437

Workaround:

  1. Navigate to Capital Asset Settings (Enterprise ERP > Financials > Capital Assets > Set Up > Capital Asset Settings)

  2. Click Update

  3. Change any zero values in the Last yearly depreciation run and/or Last monthly depreciation run fields to 1995 or higher
