Description of Issue

When making a new Cubes connection to an AWS hosted cubes server you receive one or both of the following errors:

XML parsing failed at line 1, column9 DTD is prohibited.

File System error: The following error occurred while reading from the file 'Compressed Stream': Incorrect size argument

Cause

Issue with SQL Analysis Services or outdated msmdpump.dll file
