What does the Annual projects year end field do in Project Settings?

Project Year End Close

This setting determines how project budgets are rolled for Annual Projects when the year-end close process is run.

• Roll Encumb Only, w/o Budget Transfer—Rolls encumbrances only, without budget transfers.

• Roll Encumb Only, with Budget Transfer—Rolls encumbrances only, with budget transfers.

• Roll Encumb and Remaining Avl Budget—Rolls encumbrances and remaining available budget amounts; the open year journal is generated as an original budget (PAB) journal.

• Roll Encumb and Remaining Avl Budget as Budget Transfer—Rolls encumbrances and remaining available budget amounts as budget transfers; the open year journal is generated as a transfer (PAJ) journal.

These options do not affect Encumbrances rolled with the Contract Roll process as that is handled independently through Contract Change Orders. If a budget transfer is needed to accompany COM values rolling the budget adjustment would need to be entered manually.
