1095-C was generated for an Inactive Employee

Description of Issue

An employee that was inactivated years ago with no ACA Period Records for the reporting year generated a 1095-C.

Context
  • Affordable Care Act Report

  • Employee 1095-B/C

  • Generate 1095-B/C

  • Dependents

Cause

Even though the employee has no ACA Period Records and was given an inactive/terminated date prior to the reporting year, they did have at least one Employee Dependent record with dates for the reporting year.

Resolution

When inactivating/terminating an employee be sure to set an End Date on the Employee Dependent Records.
