KY Federal Reimbursement - Error - G/L Effective Date must be within posting year and period

What is causing the Error - G/L Effective Date must be within posting year and period

Journal Number Control had the incorrect end date for the period

1. Access Financials > General Ledger > Miscellaneous Setup > Journal Number
2. Enter the Fiscal year
3. Select Update and enter the correct end date

Use caution with mid-day update or be quick.  If other employees are actively posting Journals the program is going to temporarily lock the table which is what all programs use to get the next journal number.
