How to report CT EFS
Description of Issue
- Is there an EFS (Educational Financial System) report in for Connecticut?
- How do I get an EFS report in EERP?
Context
- Financials
- General Ledger
- Connecticut
Cause
The Education Financial System (EFS) is a financial reporting system used by school districts, including local and regional boards of education, charter schools and regional educational service centers.
The EFS provides a standardized set of processes to capture, manage, audit and report financial and statistical information supporting:
- Reporting requirements previously satisfied by Forms ED001, ED001R, and ED001C;
- Per-pupil expenditures by school and district required on state report cards per Federal Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA);
- Federal F-33 School Level Financial Survey; and
- State reporting requirements of Section 10-10c of the Connecticut General Statutes (Uniform Chart of Accounts - UCOA).
Resolution
There isn't a canned reporting solution for CT EFS in EERP.
Use the State Reporting Cube and GL Segment Translations to produce the report.
The State Reporting Cube is an excel pivot table that extracts GL data from EERP and crosswalks the EERP segment values to the EFS coding required by Connecticut.
