Description of Issue

We just moved past our fist installment delinquent date, and interest amounts are incorrect.

Interest amounts are doubled/tripled.

Context
  • Enterprise ERP

  • Real Estate Taxes

  • Property Taxes

  • WI Tax

  • Interest

Cause

Incorrect bill dates cause the system to calculate extra interest.

Resolution
  1. Navigate to Property Revenues > Property Tax Billing > Midwest > Wisconsin > Subsequent Billing and Corrections > Bill Adjustments

  2. Select Mass date change from the ribbon

  3. Define and enter:

    • Tax Year

    • AR Category

    • Cycle

    • Bill Type

  4. After filling out the above field, the dates should populate with what's on the corresponding Tax Year Settings record

  5. Edit the incorrect Start Date, Date Due By, Date Interest Starts, Date Penalty Starts

    • Typically, for WI, it's suggested to set the installment 1 due date to be 1 day prior to the installment 1 interest date.

  6. Click Accept

  7. Click Select

  8. Click Process

Additional Information

When a bill is delinquent, interest routine 80 will do the following:

  • Calculate interest back to the day after the installment 1 due date.

  • Trigger interest calculations on all unpaid installments when one becomes due, and does not use last activity date as a period reset.Â
