Using multiple EINs for W-2s

Description of Issue

Site has multiple EINs that need to be used for W-2s. How are W-2s created with the correct EIN?

Context
  • Enterprise ERP Payroll

  • W-2 and 1099-R Processing

  • W-2 Wizard

  • W-2 Forms Print

Cause

The EIN is populated during the Print step of the W-2s, and the W-2s can be printed in groups based on the correct EIN. The ranges for the Employees to include can then be defined so the correct EIN is used for these employees only.

Resolution
  1. Navigate to Payroll>W-2 and 1099-R Processing> W-2 Wizard or W-2 Forms Print.

    1. For W-2 Wizard

      1. Click Print Step. 

      2. Click Employer Info tab.

      3. Define EIN.

      4. Click Employees to Include tab.

      5. Define ranges for Employees associated with the populated EIN.

      6. Click Print W-2s. 

      7. Click Print W-2s.

      8. Repeat above steps for remaining EINs. 

    2. For W-2 Forms Print

      1. Click Define

      2. Enter Tax Year.

      3. Click Accept.

      4. Click Define. 

      5. Populate EIN.

      6. Define ranges for Employees associated with the populated EIN.

      7. Click Accept.

      8. Click Print.

      9. Repeat above steps for remaining EINs.
