Understanding Product Versioning Within Tyler Deploy

Description of Issue

What do all the numbers in my Enterprise ERP version represent?

Context
  • Enterprise ERP

  • Tyler Deploy

  • SaaS

  • On-Premises

  • Versions

Cause

The version displayed within the overview and deployment panes of Tyler Deploy include three pieces of information: the product version, the quarterly release, and the cumulative update package. These are all combined into one singular string of numbers, separated by periods.

Resolution

The versioning for Enterprise ERP can be broken down as follows:

  1. Product version

  2. Quarterly release

  3. Cumulative update package

Quarterly releases include, but are not limited to, new features and functionality. Cumulative update packages contain hot fixes and enhancements, which are modified by our Enterprise ERP development team. As an example, v2021.8.0.499 is more commonly known as Enterprise ERP version 2021, quarterly release 8.0, with a cumulative update package of 499.

Additional Information
  • Cumulative update packages are released often. If your site has automatic updates scheduled, Tyler Deploy will automatically attempt to install the latest cumulative update package for the version and quarterly release currently installed.

    • You may also choose to initiate a one-time deployment manually, to install the most recent cumulative update package into the associated environment.

  • Please review the Enterprise ERP Tyler Community space for more information on the Enterprise ERP Release Lifecycle Policy Policy.
