Unable To See Project Code Under TimeSheet Entry

Description of Issue

A project master has been created and the ESS Time Entry PL configured under the location code in EERP however an employee is still unable to see a newly created pl code under Timesheet Entry in Time & Attendance.

Cause

The Default GL account section under the Expense skittle was not correctly configured for the Project.

Resolution

To update the Default GL Account:

  1. Select Financials > General Ledger Menu >Set up/Chart of Accounts > Project Master
  2. Select Search to find the Project in Question
  3. Select the Expense Skittle on the menu bar
  4. Select Add
  5. Use the Fund, Function, Division and Department drop downs to select the correct areas
  6. Select Accept
  7. Select Human Capital Management > Payroll > Payroll Setup > Location Code
  8. Select Search to find the Location code in question
  9. Select ESS Options
  10. Select ESS Time Entry PL
  11. Select Preview Records
  12. Verify you can see the newly added Project

Within Time & Attendance:

For Time & Attendance releases prior to 2022.4, the employee should now be able to go to their Timesheet Entry tab and select the newly added project within the PL drop down.

For Time & Attendance 2022.4+, the following steps will need to be followed to ensure the employee's pl cache is updated.

  1. Select System Admin > Scheduled System Job
  2. Select Run This Entry (square with arrow) for the Populate Integrated Caches job
  3. Once this has finished, select Employee Actions > Timesheet Entry
  4. Select the + icon to add a new entry
  5. Select the load circle for the PL column and verify the project is showing
