Description of Issue
  • Error deleting a Project Ledger Funding Sting "Allocation lines exist. You cannot delete this funding string"
  • How do you remove allocation lines?

Cause
  • Allocation lines exist
  • Parent data cannot be deleted if child related data exists
  • Data must be removed in same order it was entered.
Resolution
  1. Bring Funding Source String with no posted journals up on screen
  2. Select Update
  3. Under revenue allocation section choose the Allocation Type drop down and select NONE
    • Note allocation(s) line goes away
  4. Accept
  5. Delete
    • If no other related data stops the delete it will complete
  6. OK
