Merging Time Entry Batches when Importing



Description of Issue

When importing a second batch into Time Entry, the first batch disappeared and was replaced by the second batch so I have nothing to Merge. 

Context

Resolution

When your current payroll is active go to Time Entry: (Human Resources/Payroll>Payroll>Payroll Processing>Time Entry Processing>Time Entry)

  1. Verify Current payroll information, click Yes.
  2. Click Search then click Accept to pull up all batches for this payroll. 
    1. For example, if there is one existing batch it will show batch 1.
  3. click Import in the Menu.
    1. If the Merge to Active Batch is checked, the batch being imported will merge into existing batch 1, leaving one batch with both imports.
Cause

On the Time Entry Import screen, the Merge to Active Batch was checked on the second Import.
