Add Values to a Personal Property
A property needs to have values added to it.Â
Property Tax BillingÂ
Personal Property (txppmast)Â
The property was newly added or has new values that need to be added for the first time.Â
If already on the property record, skip to step 7.
If not already on the personal property record, navigate to the Personal Property program either by searching or using the following path: Property Revenues > Property Tax Billing > Region > State > Assessor Processing and Reports > Personal Property
Click Search.
If it asks if it should search for Current or Tax records, choose Current to update the current record and Tax to update that year's tax record. (Only current records may be updated unless in the middle of an active bill run. Then records for that tax year may be updated. Records for past tax years are locked and cannot be changed. If completing omitted billing, search for current.)
Enter the Property ID.
Click Accept.
On the parcel record, click More from the top ribbon.
Choose Values.
Click Add.
Choose a Value type from the dropdown menu. (Note: Full field descriptions are available at any point by clicking the question mark icon in the upper right corner and then clicking Help.)
Select a Class Code from the dropdown menu.
Enter the Count, Assessed value, and Square feet.
Choose a Deferment code if desired.
Click the Personal Property Information tab and fill out the fields if desired. (Note: Full field descriptions are available at any point by clicking the question mark icon in the upper right corner and then clicking Help.)
TAB all the way through to the end or click Accept to save the entered value.
Repeat steps 9-15 for all property values.
