SSRS Parameter Dropdown List not Populating

Description of Issue

When going to run a SSRS report with a parameter that generates a list of values, the list is blank for some users

Context

  • EERP version 2019 and above

  • SSRS Reports

  • OnPrem, SaaS Hosted

  • TRS views

Cause

The user attempting to run the report does not have access to TRS views being used to generate the list of values in the parameter. 

Resolution

  1. First verify if the user has access to necessary TRS views the report is utilizing: How to grant Tyler Reporting Views to a user

  2. If user has permission to TRS views, they may need additional access to the data within the roles. To see if a user has the necessary permissions, compare EERP roles between a user who can successfully run the report and the user who cannot: Add Role to Munis User

  3. If both steps have been verified, please contact Tyler Reporting Services for further investigation.
