Description of Issue

What is needed to import commodity codes?

Context

  • Purchasing

  • Inventory Management

Cause

Need to import commodity codes using the Commodity Import program

Resolution

  • An import template is needed to import commodity codes through the Commodity Import (Financials > Purchasing > Setup > Commodity Import)

  • Enable the Purchase Order permission Maintain Commodity Codes on an assigned user role

    • When the permission Maintain Commodity Codes is enabled, users assigned to the role are able to view and updates records in the Commodity Codes program.

    • When the permission is disabled, users assigned to the role are able to view, but not update, records in the Commodity Codes program.
