How to create a parent and subsidiary relationship for capital assets

Capital Assets 

Instructional

From the parent asset:

1. In New Assets (for assets with a status of New) or Adjustments and Retirements (for assets with a status of Active), click Subsidiary Assets tab
2. Scroll down to bottom of page and click Maintain Subsidiary Assets button
3. In the Unassociated Capital Assets column, select the subsidiary asset and click Associate
4. Click Accept

From the subsidiary asset:

1. In New Assets (for assets with a status of New) or Adjustments and Retirements (for assets with a status of Active), click Update
2. In the Parent field, add the parent asset number
3. Click Accept
