Merging multiple assets into one

How can multiple assets be merged into one?

Fixed/Capital Assets

Multiple assets were added instead of adding improvements to one asset

There is no functionality to merge assets.

Instead:

1. Process Retirement transactions using How do I retire an asset for all assets except one, making sure to set the depreciation flags to N before retiring.
2. Process Improvement transactions using How to improve an asset for the remaining asset to add value to it.

Or:

1. Link the multiple assets together by using the Master field with How to create a parent and subsidiary relationship for capital assets
