What is a Major Project?

The option of adding a Major Project was not understood

• The major project is meant to roll all other subordinate projects into itself
• Can be used as a roll-up function for project budget purposes if the Budget Level for each subordinate project is set to Major Project
• Additionally, using the major project option is to allow users to report on projects by grouping all subordinate projects up to the Major Project level

If you choose to use Major Project for Budget purposes, and the budget is contained in the Major Project strings, the Major Project must be named as a subordinate of itself.
