Inflated Accrual Balance in ESS



Description of Issue

In EERP the accrual balance is correct, but in ESS the balance is overstated



Context

  • Employee Accruals

  • Time Off Requests



Cause

The Projected Month/Day date is defined under the End of Year tab on the associated Accrual Table.



Resolution

Navigate to the Accrual Tables program 

    1. EERP > Human Capital Management > Human Resources > Leave/Absence Management > Accrual Tables

  1. Search on the impacted Accrual Type 

  2. Click Accept 

  3. Click on End of Year tab 

  4. Review for Projected Month/Day date

    1. The date is used for projected calculations in ESS 

  5. Click Update 

  6. Remove the data from that field 

  7. Click Accept 

  8. Log out and back in to ESS

If there is no change, navigate to ESS to Clear Server-Side Cache

    1. ESS > Administration > Employee Administration > Server Cache > Employee Server Cache Administration

  1. Select Clear Server-Side Cache

  2. Log out and back in to ESS
