Populate Integrated Caches Job

Description of Issue

Newly assigned pay codes used to be available immediately and now employees have to wait until the next day to use the codes. How can this be changed?

Context
  • Time & Attendance

  • ExecuTime

  • Scheduled System Jobs

  • Pay Code Cache

  • EERP

  • Munis

Cause

With the release of Time & Attendance 2022.4.0, a new scheduled system job (Populate Integrated Caches) has been added for environments utilizing the EERP integration which will reach out to EERP and fetch valid pay codes, PL codes, and GL codes in bulk to help reduce system load throughout the day.

Additionally, a button has been added on pages where employees commonly log time which allows employees to refresh their own list of valid pay codes, PL codes, and GL codes from EERP.

Resolution

To manually run the Populate Integrated Caches Job:

  1. Select System Admin

  2. Select Scheduled System Jobs

  3. Select Run This Entry (square with arrow) for the Populate Integrated Caches job to manually update the pay codes caches at that time

The cache can also be refreshed on an individual employee basis via a refresh circle in the bottom right-hand corner of the following screens:

  • Employee Actions > Timesheet Entry

  • Employee Actions > Time-off Request > Select + icon
