Unable to add module permissions to a Role

• Trying to add permissions to a Role, module folder is gray in Roles program for the Role selected.
• Attempting to give module permissions to a Role, message:

No data available. The "Search" option was not used or it returned no data.

• When a module folder is selected in the Roles program, the Role Id field is blank on the module permissions screen.

Module folder is inactive (has never been used) on the Role selected.

End user is keying in a value to the Role ID field that is not available in the drop down on the module permissions screen

To activate a  module folder for a Role:

1. In Roles, Search for the Role you want to activate the module permissions on by defining the Role in the Role Key field
2. Select the folder for the module permissions you are adding (folder should be gray)
3. Select Add from the Ribbon
4. The Role you defined on the previous screen should default into the Role Id field, select Accept
5. Select Update 
6. Check off boxes to add permissions/restrictions
7. Select Accept to save the record. 
8. Select Return from the Ribbon. The folder next to the module you just updated should now be yellow.
