Account Status Next Year Changed to Active

Account status Next Year was updated to Active

Will this cause an issue posting the budget completion journal?

• Munis
• General Ledger

• Fiscal Year Close & Open Fiscal Year was performed
• Account Master was used to update Account Status

• MUNIS automatically changes the status of the account from Next year to Active when the new year is opened. 
• If the account status was manually updated from Next year to Active it will not cause an issue when closing the year or posting the budget completion journal
• Run How to Audit an Account from Account Master and output report for needed date range.
  • Reports that show account status updated from 'N' to 'A' the user/clerk name listed updated in Account Master
  • Reports that do not show indicate account was auto updated by the Munis system when Fiscal Year Close/Open performed.

Comparing Account Audit add record date with current year SOY journal entry dates will show if account existed and went though a close and open year process.
