Defaults for the Dates in Employee Accruals

Description of Issue

Where does the accrual date, start date and end date come from when add a new accrual record?

Cause

Resolution
  1. Accr Date - This the Accrual Date.  It defaults in with the Service Date in Employee Master.  (Payroll > Employee Maintenance > Employee Master > click the Dates tab to view the Service Date)
    1. If there is no Service Date entered, the Accrual Date defaults in from the Permanent Date in Employee Master
    2. If there is no Service or Permanent Date entered, the Accrual Date defaults in from the HIre Date in Employee Master
  2. Start Date-  This defaults in with the date the new record is added
  3. End Date - This defaults in with 12/31/9999
Additional Information

If a site has implemented Employee Eligibility, this can impact the default for the Start Date.  Employee Accruals Start Date defaulting in for future date
