Hourly Pay Rate Not Pulling Into Payroll

Description of Issue
  • I am manually adding an extra time pay code into Earnings and Deductions, and the rate is $0.00 for several Employees.
  • Employee's old rate is pulling into payroll on accrual pay codes.
Context
  • Munis Version 11.3
  • Employee Job/Salary
  • Employee Master
  • Payroll Processing
Cause

The Job Class in Employee Master does not match the Job Class in Employee Job/Salary for the example Employees. This means that the pay records are built with one Job Class, but Munis is pulling a different Job Class (From Employee Master) into the Payroll.

Resolution

Determine which Job Class is correct.

If the Job Class in Employee Master is correct:

  1. Go into Employee Job/Salary (Payroll>Employee Maintenance>Employee Job/Salary)
  2. Search for the employee.
  3. Delete their base pay record.
  4. Add it back in, and ensure the correct Job Class is now pulling in.
  5. Go back into Earnings and Deductions (Payroll>Payroll Processing>Payroll Start and Status).
  6. Search for the employee.
  7. Delete the pay line for this pay code.
  8. Add the pay code back in, ensuring the rate correctly pulls.

If the Job Class in Employee Job/Salary is correct:

  1. Go into Employee Master (Payroll>Employee Maintenance>Employee Master)
  2. Search for the employee.
  3. Update the employee and correct the Job Class
  4. Go back into Earnings and Deductions (Payroll>Payroll Processing>Payroll Start and Status).
  5. Search for the employee.
  6. Delete the pay line for this pay code.
  7. Add the pay code back in, ensuring the rate correctly pulls.
