Needs help setting up CA SACS Resource Codes

Description of Issue

Finding that Resources in Munis are being assigned to an incorrect Resource Code in CA SACS.

Context
  • Financials
  • California
  • SACS Codes (glcacode)
  • CA Standardized Account Code Structure
Cause
  • Munis Resource segments may be mapped to too many, too few, or incorrect SACS Resource Codes.
  • Unlike other State Reports, this crosswalk is not found in GL Segment Translations, Global Crosswalks, or Miscellaneous Crosswalks.
Resolution

Determine which segment of the site's GL Account String is being used for Resource.  Check General Ledger Settings for an explicitly named segment or client should know which segment is being used as Resource, otherwise.

  1. Select SACS Codes from the menu
  2. Click Search
  3. Select RESOURCE as the Table from the dropdown.  Leave the other fields blank.  Click Accept
  4. The mapped Resource codes will be displayed.  Use Add or Update to make changes as needed.
