Import journals and signed amounts

Context
  • General Journal 

  • Budget amendments

  • Encumbrances

  • Actuals

  • Signed amounts

Cause

Confirm when signed amounts are needed within import journal is used.

Resolution

Signed amounts are not needed when importing journals.

If using the Gross Credit or Gross Debit or any other choice regarding Debit or Credit, those settings already tell MUNIS if the entry is positive or negative according to the Account type that is being posted to. So signed amounts are not needed.
