Clients need the ability to transfer delinquent utility bills to the Tax module in order to have the utility bills balance liened on their tax bill
The setting to allow access to the Transfer Delinquent To Tax program: Property Revenues > Utility Billing > Setup > Settings > Site Options 1 > Liens > Process option > Transfer To Tax
Access the Transfer Delinquent To Tax program: Property Revenues > Utility Billing > Lien Processing > Transfer Delinquent To TaxÂ
Click Define.
Select Now from the Execute This Report list.
Complete the fields, as required.
On the toolbar, click Accept.
Click Generate.
If any charge codes are missing tax lien charge codes, the following message displays: "Tax or Interest charge codes are missing for some charges." Ensure all utility billing charge codes have the correct tax lien charge codes set up in the AR Charge Codes program on the GL Accounts tab.Click Flag-to-Levy.
Select the S check box to include accounts in the lien process, and then click Accept, or click Set All to include all accounts in the lien process, and then click Accept.
On the File menu, click Output.
The program displays an interest message.Click Yes to include interest in transferred journal entries (the interest is calculated through the Calc Interest Date); click No to exclude interest from the transferred journal entries (the interest is calculated through the Calc Interest Date and is included in the total transferred to tax).
Click Process.
The balance is transferred from utility billing to tax. The transferred balances display in the Special Assessments program.Confirm that the batch should be posted.
