How to change a bill from one to two installments or from two to one

Cause

Bill installments must be expanded or collapsed due to occupancy change

Resolution
  1. Click Define.

  2. Specify a reason code for the transfer.

  3. In the Bill field, enter the number of the bill to transfer.

  4. Select the Always Place Odd Penny in First Installment checkbox direct the program to place the odd penny for an amount in the first bill installment or clear the checkbox to direct the program to alternate the odd penny amount between installments.

  5. In the Occupancy Indicator field, enter the indicator for the type of occupancy for the property on the bill. For the property to qualify for semiannual billing, the occupancy indicator must be either D (Dual) or H (Homeowner-occupied). Type if the property is a duplex or other multi-unit property in which one unit is occupied by the owner, type H if the property is occupied by the homeowner, or type (No) if the property is not owner occupied.

  6. Click Accept.

  7. Click Process to transfer the bill.

Additional Information

The Semiannual Transfer program changes semiannual bills to non-semiannual bills and the reverse. The process either splits a bill into two installments or combines installments into one. Only annual bills can be transferred.
