Require Activity Code In Timesheet Entry

Description of Issue

We have a location of employees who need to code their time to an activity code on timesheet entry. Is it possible to make that field required so they have to fill in an activity code?

Resolution

To setup a JDC Policy to require and Activity Code follow the steps below: 

  1. Log into ExecuTime with proper credentials for necessary access to add JDC Policy.

  2.  Click System Admin. Click Policies & Rules Engine. Click the JCD Policy Tab. 

  3. Either click Add to create a new policy or the edit pencil icon on an existing policy. 

    1. If creating a new policy, define the applicable Work Group, Company, Division, Munis Location, etc. 

  4. Under the Defined Dependencies click the Plus icon to add a new line. 

  5. Under Action select Enable. 

  6. Under Field select Activity. 

  7. Click Save.
