Description of Issue
  • Requisition Approval (REQ) auto convert not working
  • REQ stuck in approval
  • Requisition Conversion (RQC) business rule set up
Context

Workflow

Cause
  • Multiple RQCs that are not set up as auto-convert
  • Last REQ approver is the same as RQC approver
  • Purchasing Settings Conversion Method not set to Use Workflow
Resolution
  • RQC business rule needs to be created as a step 99 catchall business rule
  • REQ approver cannot be the same as RQC approver
    • IT user is typically the best bet for RQC auto conversion rule
  • Can only have one RQC rule
    • Either you have rules set up for RQC that approval needs to be met or you have the auto-convert rule
      • having both causes issue as they cancel one another out
