How to reverse depreciation

• How do I reverse depreciation that was taken?
• Depreciation was taken on an asset in error.  How do I get the asset back to its original cost?

Depreciation taken in error

1. From the Depreciation Reversal program click Define
2. Search for the asset(s) you are looking to reverse depreciation on
3. Click Select to select the asset(s) you wish to reverse depreciation on
4. Click Accept 
5. After you have selected the asset(s) click Process 
6. Define when the depreciation reversal should be effective in your general ledger
7. A confirmation message will pop up asking if you would like to reverse the last depreciation for the selected asset. Click Yes, Reverse depreciation
8. Once you have saved the Capital Asset Deprecation Reversal Report and no errors are detected it will ask if you would like to Post this transaction. Click Yes, Post to post the reversal
