AWS Cubes Transport Layer Error

Description of Issue

The format of the credentials used to connect Excel to Cubes has changed since migrating to AWS

Context

Cause

The transport layer error usually indicates an issue with the log in credentials or format. The format used to log into Cubes service analysis is not the same as sites without AWS, this causes credentials to fail when authenticating the server in Excel

Resolution

Login format:

  1. Server name: https:// cubes server CNAME URL
    ex: https://<sitename><state abbrehiation><cubes>.tylerhost.net
    ex: https://townoftylermecubes.tylerhost.net 

    1. The addition thee https:// to the beginning of the cubes CNAME is specific to AWS customers

  2. User: tylerhost\cloud admin ID

  3. Password: cloud admin PW

If the credentials are unknown or forgotten, AWS Cloud Admin can be utilized to reset the accounts password
