Description of Issue

A user or group of users needs to connect to a Tyler Hosted folder with SFTP using WinSCP

Context
  • SFTP

  • Secure File Transfer Protocol

  • WinSCP

Cause

A user or a group of users has been given access to files on one of Tyler's servers and needs to connect to access them

Resolution
  1. Download and install WinSCP

    1. This may require administrator authorization

  2. Launch WinSCP

  3. Connection settings for Datacenter hosted sites:

    1. Select New Tab, input the following information:

      1. Host name: YVWLNSFTP03.tylerhost.net ( YVWLNSFTP02.tylertech.com has been retired)

      2. User name: your DATACENTER username

        1. Ex. 1234jdoe

      3. Password: your DATACENTER password

      4. Port number: 22

  4. Connection settings for AWS hosted sites:

    1. Select New Tab, input the following information:

      1. Host name: erpsftp.tylerhost.net

      2. User name: your TYLERHOST username

        1. Ex. 1234jdoe

      3. Password: your TYLERHOST password

      4. Port number: 22

  5. Click Login

    1. In the right window: you will now see the files and folder your account has access to

    2. Files can be managed in a drag-and-drop fashion either by dragging from Local site (left window): or by dragging directly from the desktop

  6. If errors are encountered when connecting, please create a case with TSM SaaS for further assistance in the Support Portal
