Hide or Remove SSN for Payroll

Description of Issue

How can I remove or hide employee SSN from users, so user cannot see it?

Context
  • System Admin

  • Security

  • Roles

Cause

User can see SSN and we do not want them to view it.

Resolution
  1. In System Admin> Security> Roles, search to find Role, click Accept

  2. Click on HR Management/Payroll Module

  3. On General Tab Uncheck the Box View SSN on Reports

  4. On Category Access Tab under Employee Master Column, for each desired Category, click Update and select from drop down, Hide SSN Update Delete or Hide SSN View Only depending on requirements then click Accept

  5. Have user refresh browser or log out and back into Munis for Role change to apply

Additional Information

Hiding SSN is done per Module. This is for Payroll Module Only. There is not one setting for Munis to Hide SSN in all places with one setting.
