TX TRS ED40 - How Contract Begin Date Generates

TX TRS ED40 - How Contract Begin Date Generates

Description of Issue

Where is Contract Begin Date coming from on a Generated ED40 record?

Context
  • Payroll

  • Texas

  • TX TRS Report

Cause

Resolution

Based on Calendar and Job Class fields on the Base Pay record in Employee Job/Salary that is associated with this TRS position and where the Position Start Date is less than the last day of the defined Report Month/Year and the Position End Date is greater than or equal to the first day of the defined Report Month/Year.

  1. If there is a Calendar code, the program uses the First Day Accountable from the Active Calendar with the most recent Fiscal Year, where the defined Reporting Period falls within the Calendars Fiscal Year date range.

  2. If the Job Class falls within a defined Job Class range on the Contract Dates tab of the TX TRS Report Generate screen, Contract Begin is set equal to the Contract Begin date defined on the same tab, for the correlating Job Class.

In all cases, if the Hire date in the Employee Master is greater than Contract Begin, Contract Begin is set equal to the Hire date.
