Personnel Actions workflow Hold status

Can approvers on the same workflow step release the hold placed on a Personnel Actions Entry record?

It is by design that the hold status can only be released by the original approver who placed it.

No other user in the same step is authorized to release the hold. Only the originating approver who placed the action on hold can release it to allow the workflow to proceed.
