How to change status of a Posted CIP asset to Active

Context

Cause

Informational 

Resolution

2018.3 and below:

  1. Open the New Assets program
  2. Click Search on the toolbar to find the asset(s) you are looking to convert
  3. Click Accept
  4. Click Convert CIP on the toolbar
  5. Click Update
  6. Click Accept
  7. Select the asset to convert and update the effective date if necessary
  8. Click Accept
  9. If there is workflow in place click Release to enter the transaction into workflow
  10. If workflow does not exist click Output/Post

2019.1 and above:

  • In New Assets, pull up the asset, click Transactions, and select Convert CIP Assets.
