Organized Chart is spiking server resources



Description of Issue
  • Munis application server is showing Organized Chart is spiking CPU and RAM resources

The process causing the resource spike:

<data drive>:\munprod\utils\OrgChart\OrgChart.exe

  • Organized Chart executable high resource consumption

  • Centrals are not loading and/or responses are slow.



Context
  • Tyler Systems Management (TSM)

  • Software as a Service (SaaS)

  • Munis

  • Server Administration



Cause

Scenario 1: User clicked on Organized Chart and it did not load. User precedes to continuously click on Organized Chart until it loads

Scenario 2: Organized chart process could be abandoned



Resolution
  1. Open Terminal Server

  2. Navigate to Munis Application Server

  3. Open Task Manager

  4. Highlight Organization Chart

  5. Right-Click and select Go to Details

  6. Verify which site is using this process

  7. Call site to see if they are still using Organized Chart process

  8. Confirm scenario 1 or another scenario

  9. End the process on the server
